Time is running out to get your entry in for this year’s Trailblazer Awards. The Zimmatic team, together with Vantage, Farmers’ Weekly and Irricon, have pooled together a prize pack worth more than NZD$22,000.

That’s nothing to be sneezed at. But we know it’s not the prizes or the publicity that drives farmers to enter.

It’s about having the opportunity to share their stories as proof they are walking the talk. It’s about using the platform that is The Trailblazer Sustainable Irrigation Awards to demonstrate the steps they are taking to look after one of our most precious resources. It’s about having a voice and being heard!

As an industry, there are many channels we use in an attempt to influence public opinion and create change. Some are more effective than others.

The Trailblazer Awards is backed by reputable key industry stakeholders and supporters whose networks are far-reaching. This is valuable when it comes to pitching good news stories to the media and getting noticed on social media.
